Nearly every little girl dreams of having a dollhouse. Author Leigh Michaels did, too, and twenty years later, she and her husband, photographer and artist Michael W. Lemberger, built the dollhouse of her dreams: The Dahls’ House, the home of a fictional couple, Mr. and Mrs. Dahl, and their two daughters.
The Dahls’ House, a Georgian-style mansion that is the equivalent of a 3,200 square foot home, is a labor of love. It took eighteen months to complete the house, which is insured for $10,000, but the process of furnishing and landscaping continues.
Come visit the Dahls and see their Chippendale furniture, Oriental rugs, original paintings by noted local artists, hand-pieced quilts, the dollhouse-within-the-dollhouse, and more!
