1896 Ottumwa Souvenir Book

In 1896, the Second Regiment of the Iowa National Guard, which was based in Ottumwa, Iowa, held its annual encampment in its home town. The Ottumwa Daily Democrat produced a souvenir book for the guardsmen, including information about the regiment and the town, much of which appears in no other publication. Only a few copies have survived. This reprint edition has been produced by scanning and restoring a badly-damaged original. Some supplemental text has been added.
